Packaging

Why do we package our flowers in Miron Violetglass?

  • Miron Violetglass is a unique biophotonic glass packaging for natural products. The unique properties protect products against the damaging effects of light and lengthen their shelf life, protecting and revitalizing their effectiveness. It is therefore the perfect way to maintain the natural freshness of our cannabis flowers.
  • The high-quality glass containers are resealable and reusable.
  • Sensi Weeds is working with international partners on a revolutionary, compostable packaging made of hemp fibers, so that we can make the packaging for our flowers even more ecological in future.

The minimal amount of visible violet light being let in lends the glass its lovely dark-violet color.

The protection that the glass gives ensures that the taste, smell, color, bioenergy and properties of the product are maintained for longer. Tests have shown that products stored in Miron Violetglass can preserve their unique properties for longer periods of time, sometimes even years.

Protection against damaging rays of light

Sunlight is one of the most important sources of human life on earth. It is a basic requirement to enable nature, humans and animals to exist and thrive. If natural products remain exposed to the sun after maturity, the life-improving effect of the full spectrum of sunlight often changes the product and accelerates molecular breakdown. Miron Violetglass has the unique quality of filtering damaging rays of visible light. It is also the only type of glass that is semi-permeable for some very specific wavelengths (frequencies) of light: the (visible) violet color, UVA and infrared. More specifically, Miron Violetglass enables the 25%-45% penetration of light between 380 and 420 nanometers (violet and UVA frequency), and 60% light permeability between 730 and 1050 nanometers (infrared frequency). These parts of the light spectrum appear to charge organic molecules with energy, making them beneficial for products packaged in Miron Violetglass.
